Computer Science and The Arts

Application Requirements

Students must:

  1. Provide an unofficial transcript detailing their academic standing.
  2. Write a maximum one page statement arguing why they would be interesting participants, their qualifications and their expectations for the course.
  3. Provide a statement confirming their ability to attend all Banff residential workshops.

Successful applicants will have an active interest in interdisciplinary collaboration between art and science and a strong academic background in either the Fine Arts or Computer Sciences.

Shortlisted applicants will be contacted prior to final selection and may be required to provide more information or attend an interview.

Complete applications including transcript and statement should be be submitted as soon as possible since the applications will be considered until the course is full.

Optional: Participation in the Banff Workshop is essential and will have an associated cost. This cost is to cover accommodation, and three full meals a day while at the Banff Centre. There are scholarships/bursaries available for this course. All students applying to take this course will automatically be entered into the scholarship competition. If you wish to be considered for a bursary please add one short additional paragraph explaining this.

Banff Centre Workshop: Starting at 9:00 am on Monday, January 7th and ending at 4:00 pm on Thursday, January 10th, 2008.
